Ben joined the RFE team in 2021 as a Design Engineer. He graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, specializing in Water Resources and Treatment. Ben’s academic experience was focused in environmental process engineering, hydrology, hydraulics, water chemistry, and water resources engineering. He also helped remotely design a soil and groundwater remediation plan and alternative analysis for a decommissioned oil refinery in Southeastern Louisiana.
Prior to joining RFE, Ben worked for a municipal water and wastewater utility in the Denver Metro area as a staff engineer, managing capital improvement construction and engineering projects in stormwater, potable water, and water resources. These projects included large-scale water transmission lines, elevated storage tanks, waterline replacements, and various stormwater outfall systems. He gained a depth of field experience inspecting construction projects from planning through closeout, including pressure and water quality testing, roadway materials testing, and budget and schedule management. Ben is familiar with a range of engineering and construction software, including ArcGIS, EPAnet, MODFLOW, Bluebeam, and Excel.
